Henry Scott Holland (1847-1918) was known as a theologian and preacher. Ordained in 1874 after attending Oxford, Holland served at Christ's Church until he was appointed Canon of St. Paul's (London) in 1884. While at St. Paul's, Holland was instrumental in the founding of the Christian Social Union. He was also editor of Commonwealth from 1895-1912.
